"Still waiting for therapy"

About: Doncaster CAMHS / Getting Help

(as a parent/guardian),

Have fought for over 6 years to get my daughter seen. Kept being told it was her autism causing the anxiety and self-injuring. As parents we have been blamed and shamed for her issues.

Eventually after 7 referrals, she was assessed but yet again told it was us as parents causing her issues. Things that are untrue written about us. Had to fight for a year to get her seen by a psychiatrist, who then diagnosed her with PTSD caused by school trauma and possible social anxiety.

Put on medication and awaiting therapy, but still having issues with cahms following up and checking how she’s getting on with her medication. Still waiting for therapy.

My daughter has been completely let down and cannot attend school.
