"Terrible GP surgery in all aspects"

Braeside Surgury was once a brilliant surgery with dedicated set of GPs that really cared for patients. In the last few years it has deteriorated to the point of serving no purpose in healthcare. Impossible to get an appointment, even when it’s an urgent situation. The only way to get an appointment is between 7am and 11am (although sometimes 9am) filling out an e-consult form online. In my experience I’ve yet to have a call back same day to even be assessed for an appointment. Usually it’s at least 1, sometimes 2 days before getting a response. Reception refuses point blank to offer appointments over the phone, so if you are sick after 11am you have to wait until the following day to try and get an appointment. As a result I often end up either attending A&E or paying to see a private GP. Even getting repeat prescriptions has become a lottery: incorrect items, items missing, 5 working days to process requests. It’s a joke. The NHS needs to urgently review this surgery’s practice if they are to continue to get government money.
