"Fertility clinic waiting room"

About: Maternity care / Fertility Services

(as a service user),

I attended an appointment in the fertility clinic in Craigavon Area Hospital where the staff were very professional and caring but on my way out I had to go through the waiting room, past another couple who had children with them. As someone who would give anything to have a child I found this extremely upsetting. Given that the waiting room was only for the fertility clinic, the couple were also in there for fertility treatment.

I think there should be a separate exit for patients after their appointment or that patients should be asked not to bring their children with them to appointments.

Thank you very much for your story.

Accommodation is a challenge within the service at present; however we value your feedback and will bear this in mind for any future revision of services.
