"A great support to us over the past few weeks"

About: Integrated Care / Community / Community Neurorehabilitation Service / CNRS

(as a carer),

My husband and I felt concerned about the future when he was recently discharged following a diagnosis of a heart attack with subsequent heart failure which has led to a number of hospital stays for pneumonia and cellulitis recently. His mobility has been severely affected as has his mental wellbeing.

The discharge team with community neurophysiotherapy has been fantastic and a great support to us over the past few weeks.

Assistance, with specific aids being supplied, has been so helpful to date. The care and concern shown by all the professionals involved, who have given him time as well as practical guidance, together with encouragement during the exercise programme has been uplifting for us both.

Thanks to all. Special shout out for Julie, Alex and Georgia, as well as a whole team of District Nurses who are supporting too.

Good afternoon,

Thank you for sharing your feedback about the support your husband received from the Community Neurorehabilitation Service (CNRS). I am sorry to hear about the concerns your husband has been facing and I understand this will have been a daunting time for you both. I am so pleased to read that the support you received from the physiotherapist has been helpful by providing the guidance and skills to support your husband to manage.

I have shared your feedback with the service lead, including the District Nursing teams, as I know they will all appreciate hearing about the impact the care has had for you both and will ensure the wider team is aware too. I wish your husband well with their continued treatment.

Kind regards,

Aoife Isherwood
