"Very smooth operation"

About: Bexhill Hospital

I went for an appointment to confirm whether I was suitable for cataract surgery. I came by train as invitation said you should not drive yourself there. I got there exactly on time as train station is quite a long way from the hospital. The team found me before I was able to log myself in but the service was great. The letter said to bring a list of all meds but they had everything on their system. I was very pleased at the speed and knowledge of all members of the team. I need to see properly to drive so cataract surgery is very important to me.

Dear Joyce,

Thank you for the lovely feedback you have posted regarding a recent assessment for suitability for cataract surgery; we do appreciate it. It is important to us that patients receive a high standard of care, and so we are delighted to read you were pleased with how the appointment went and that staff were knowledgeable, as this undoubtedly gave you confidence in their abilities given how important this surgery is to allow you to continue to drive.

We will share your comments with staff, and send you our very best wishes Joyce.
