"They made me feel listened to"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Surgical Observation Unit

(as a service user),

I was in the surgical observation unit for almost a full day with suspected gallstones and a blockage to my liver.

I was then in and out as an outpatient for the next 4 days. The treatment from the whole team there was second to none, they were fantastic. You could tell they were incredibly stretched with it being the festive period but they still made me feel listened to. They were reassuring and very friendly. Particular shout out to Amy & Angela who were so lovely to both me and my husband!

We hope they received the box of cakes we sent in after to say thank you!!

Thank you for taking the time to share such lovely feedback. I am so pleased to hear that you felt listened to and that your experience of the care you received in SOU was so positive.

I will ensure that your feedback is shared with Amy and Angela, and with the wider team in SOU, whom I know will be appreciative.

I hope you are feeling better and are on the mend.

With best wishes,

Shaun
