I recently had contact with Dr Murphy at Ellon Medical Practice when I was in an extreme amount of pain.  I initially spoke to her on the telephone and then saw her face to face.  She was so caring and listened to what was going on even with me crying.  Within one hour she had arranged for me to be seen at ARI.  Her care was exemplary and made me feel so at ease.

GP practices sometimes get bad press, but I honestly cannot ask for a better health centre or GPs.  Thank you Dr Murphy.

Hi AberdeenQuine. Thanks for getting in touch with feedback for the team at Ellon Group Practice. It's lovely to read and I hope it, not only gives the team a boost, but also helps change some of the 'bad press' that the practices sometimes get.

I can safely say that Dr Murphy will be happy to receive this and understand how much her caring manner, and quick action, helped you feel at ease when you were in pain. I see from your next post that the hospital part of yout journey went well too - which is good to know. I hope the team managed to get to the bottom of the issue and that you are now on the road to recovery.

I work with the Quality Improvement & Assurance Team in NHS Grampian and part of my role is to make sure the feedback that comes in for the general practices, through Care Opinion, reaches them. Most in Grampian are independently run and have their own complaints and feedback systems - they aren’t registered to receive Care Opinion feedback. However, as I have the practice name I'll forwrd this on to them today and if they get back to me with a response I will share with you on this thread.
