"Difficult implant removal"

About: Sexual Health Services - South Staffordshire (Open Clinic)

(as the patient),

My implant was infected so my appointment was to take out and replace.

What should of been a 15min appointment turned out to be 2 hours long as the implant was difficult to extract , Nurse Clara and Juliet persisted and kept trying until eventually the implant came out, the reason for this was that the implant had broken and was bent.

Clara was professional to the extent she missed her own hospital appointment to get this implant out and Juliet delayed her lunch break until it was over.

Many thanks to both

Hi Controllerdp59,

My name is Andrew and I am a Senior Administrator for the Open Clinic and part of my role is to respond to Care Opinion feedback. I would firstly like to thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback which does mean a lot to our team and is an important contribution to learning and service improvement.

I have shared your story with Clara and Juliet and they will be pleased that they were able to remove your difficult implant. 🙂

Kind regards,
