After being diagnosed with AML in early October 2024, I would like to express my appreciation to all the staff and haematology Doctors in ward 15.
My care was literally second to none. I was extremely well looked after by all the staff however I did form a strong bond with some of the nurses who looked after me for a long 12 weeks.
I would like to say a special thank you to Coleen, Marie, Ellis, Alix, Jennifer, Stephanie, Louise, Elaine and Suzanne. I had some complications after my first round of chemotherapy and needed lots of intervention from many specialist. They all worked so hard to ensure the best for me and went above and beyond to ensure I felt safe in their care and had the best outcome.
These doctors and Nurses I will always truly be grateful to and now would consider them as an extended family. They are all amazing at what they do and definitely in the correct job. Their passion, care and kindness is something that will never be forgotten.
Once again thank you to everyone who has been involved and continues to be part of my care and my journey. I literally don't know what myself and my family would have done without you all. We very much appreciate you all.
"My care was literally second to none"
