"Routine Breast Screening Mammogram"

Hi,

A few days ago I had a routine screening mammogram carried out at the Mobile Mammography Unit.

I would like to thank all the staff that were involved in looking after me.

In particular, I would like to thank Patricia, the staff member who carried out my mammogram. Patricia's kind , empathetic manner was very reassuring and her professional approach throughout made the whole thing very straightforward.

Thanks also to the Radiologist who will read and report on my x-rays, and to those staff involved in administration and appointment scheduling.

My main purpose in writing this is to pass on my gratitude to the staff, but if there is anyone reading this who has been sent an appointment for a routine screening mammogram and is in two minds about attending, I would say please attend. Even if, like myself, you are incredibly private or have no symptoms, it's important that you take up the offer of a routine mammogram.

It only takes around 15 mins and it can be a life saver.
