I have been under the care of this team at Hamilton, for a few years, attending regular meetings about my care needs, as well as mental health too, and what issues I had, if any, in the community etc.
Gemma was really professional, and attentive, i really felt at ease in speaking to her at regular intervals, both at the office and on the phone. The appointments are always on time and I had found that speaking to her was welcoming and at first I was apprehensive, naturally, at seeing someone new (as previous worker had left, and before that I had attended another office also). The team at Hamilton aren't there to judge or criticise, but really felt listened too by Gemma and Karen, and i was always at ease with knowing I could call them anytime for any issues that arisen. (Which I did do a few times with an inquiry or two I had). Also at review meetings the TL and managers also are very professional and I felt as my time there has now ended, that having that support for a time has really helped me move on with my life, for the better, and to ensure that I have the tools needed to deal with issues that arise, by myself and those around me.
I would say to anyone about to start their story here, that it isn't as daunting as you may first think, going in to the office to speak to someone on a regular basis etc, they are there to help and reassure you as well as ensure you are on the right path for as long as you need to.
"There to help and reassure you"
