My sister has Downs Syndrome. She lives independently in her own flat in Redditch. My Mum used to spend a lot of time helping/supporting her with pretty much all of her everyday activities. Unfortunately, Mum passed away around 2 years ago. I live around 200 miles away from my sister, so obviously its not easy for me to help her as much as Mum used to, I travel to visit her as often as I can, usually every other week which is a massive strain as it sometimes can be a 10 hour round trip. The level of support my sister has been receiving from Natalie, helping her to get over her anxiety issues, setting up bereavement counselling, taking her to some of her doctors appointments etc has been a god send for both my sister, and myself. We are both extremely grateful for the help my sister has received.
