"No confidence in a doctor"

About: Upwell Health Centre

On 14th Nov 2024 I had a doctors appointment at 9am regarding a respiratory test that had been done at my workplace and then later carried out again at Upwell Health Centre, as my readings were low I had to be referred to the hospital by a doctor. I waited in the waiting area for 20 minutes before I went to see the receptionist to see if I had been missed and just as I asked the question my name was called. On walking to the doctors room I said "oh I thought I had been forgotten about" and his response was "sorry I was reading up on your notes". When I sat down to have my consultation the doctor then said to me "so how can I help you today". I found this very odd as he had literally just said he had been reading my notes, but I went through it with him anyway.

This does not fill me with confidence at all. Carried on with the consultation and I was referred for a High Resolution CT Scan by this doctor. On Friday 17th January 2025 went back to the same doctor to get my results of the CT scan. Walked into his room when my name came up in the waiting area and the first thing he did once I sat down was take my temperature in my ear with a digital thermometer which I found strange and then said to me "so you have a chest infection" I said "oh I don't know, do I" considering I was there to get my results for my CT scan this was an odd conversation. He then realised he was talking about someone else and got my notes up on his computer and we continued with the consultation. He now has to write to the hospital to see what happens next which surely should have been done before I came to my appointment on 17th Jan 2025.

I really don't feel confident being seen by this doctor as both times I have seen him he has made errors. If the outcome of my CT Scan is that I need medication I would not be happy being given the medication by this doctor because I am not confident that it will be the correct medication going on my previous two consultations with him.

Please can this matter be looked into before I need to return to see him again.
