"Kind natured, caring and compassionate"

About: Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick children / Emergency Department

(as a service user),

We arrived at Belfast Royal Sick Children's ED recently with our 10 month old son. Our care was taken over by Nurse Practitioner Emma. On first meeting Emma, she was kind natured, caring and compassionate to us all. Listened to our concerns and highlighted what was required to help him. She was very efficient with the duties that had to be carried out. Communicating to us clearly and keeping us up to date with any test results. Emma had professional manner and very pleasant in all my son's care, even under pressure of a busy ED.

Emma is a credit to the role she is in and is very evident to see.

Thank you! ☺️

Dear Student123

My name is Trish McKinney & I am the Co-Director for Child Health & NISTAR. Thank you for telling us about your recent experience of care in Children's ED when you visited with your son.

We are very proud of our teams in the children's hospital and it is very pleasing to read your positive comments. I will make sure that the ED team and specifically Emma, see your feedback. They will be delighted to hear that they have made such a difference to your son and your family's experience of care in the ED.

I hope that your son is making a speedy recovery and once again thank you for taking the time to feedback.
