"I was made to feel so welcome"

About: Trauma & orthopaedics / Orthopaedic National Treatment Centre

(as a service user),

Contrary to the username, this time I was in for an arthroscopy. From the minute I arrived at the NTC, I was made to feel so welcome. From the nursing staff who booked me in, to the staff on the ward, Mr Akhtar, the anaesthetist and theatre staff all were amazing.

Everything was explained in detail which put me at ease. I have to mention that Nicola and Kacey(I think that was her name) were just fabulous on the ward. All in all a very positive experience.

Hello,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent stay in the National Treatment Centre Ward. I am so pleased to hear that it was a positive one. I am glad you felt welcomed by the team and thought the staff were amazing. It is great to hear these comments. Communication is important to us, to ensure patients feel involved in their care and decision making, throughout their stay. Therefore, I am delighted to know that your care and treatment plan was explained to you, to allow choice and reassurance.

I will share your lovely feedback with the team and let both Nicola and Cassy know of your kind words.

I hope you are recovering well.

Best wishes and take care,

Briony Klos
