About: West Scotland Breast Screening Centre

(as a service user),

I had my first screening mammogram recently via the Mobile unit stationed at Morrisons in Paisley and everyone was lovely and so efficient.

Unfortunately I had to be recalled for further tests at the centre at Nelson Mandela place due to an area of concern.  All the staff from HCSW to radiographers, doctors and Breast care nurses were so kind and whilst the procedures were not comfortable, I felt very well looked after and supported through out. 

I had a return appointment to get the results which were thankfully negative and a lovely doctor phoned me before my appointment was due to let me know, meaning I didn’t have to make the journey there in person.

All in all, everyone made a stressful time much easier.

Many thanks for taking the time to get in touch. I was delighted to hear that our staff at the unit in Paisley helped make your initial appointment go smoothly.

I am really sorry to hear that you had to come to our centre for further tests and I understand how difficult and worrying this can be. I am so pleased to hear that the team were able to make this experience a bit more bearable for you and that you had the support you needed.

It's wonderful that the test results came back as negative and that we were able to let you know quickly which prevented you from having to make the journey back into our centre.
