Had my second child by elective c section at Crosshouse maternity hospital. From the minute we walked in to the hospital we were treated with the upmost care and attention. My partner and I could not fault any member of staff who we encountered.
Dr Anderson and her team were amazing and made me feel so at ease and calmed any anxiety I had. The whole procedure was relaxed and I have never felt more cared for! The anaesthetist (I can’t remember her name but she was Irish) was outstanding. She talked me through the whole procedure and was so reassuring that I don’t think I could have done it without her in my ear telling me it was all going okay.
When baby was delivered the midwife Danica was there to assist, she was attentive and informative about what was happening, we couldn’t have asked for more from her!
The whole team in recovery and the team on the ward were also faultless. Any staff couldnt do enough to help us and make sure me and baby were comfortable. From check ins during the night once my partner had left, to bringing me a cup of tea and listening to my worries when I was feeling a bit overwhelmed after delivery. The whole team are an absolute credit to NHS Ayrshire and Arran.
"Elective section was a great experience"
