Recently I was suffering a chest infection so I tried to phone for an appointment for a Dr via Ariel Health Care who run the local Dr's surgery. After several presses of buttons the final message was that I was told there were no facilities to make an appointment so I should call 111. This we did and to some extent they were helpful in listening but actually provided no help and no opportunity to see a Dr.
Two days later we went through the same procedure as the condition had not improved. It is amazing that in this so called modern day and age that it was impossible to make an appointment to see a DR. I am lucky as I appear to have mostly recovered but my partner is still no better and I really do not know what to do. I do not wish to call an ambulance but cannot believe the total breakdown of the NHS in the UK. It is appalling. Such a sorry state.
