"A frightening experience turned into amazing experience"

What was a frightening experience turned into amazing experience were I got to see first hand how lucky we are for our wonderful nhs and how staff go above and beyond to deliver high quality care ! 

I was referred by GP as same day urgent suspected blood clot I was triaged on phone by a lovely nurse Lucy who was so reassuring in what was a stressful situation she was kind and arranged a next day scan and medication for myself .

When I arrived at Urgent care centre I was greeted by Dawn, staff nurse, whom was professional , kind and assessed & put a Cannula in my arm ready for my scan - I didn’t feel a thing which was I was reassured by as I’m scared of needles she talked me through process and calmed me .

After my scan I was assessed by Shauna -  an advanced nurse practitioner - whom again went above and beyond in delivering high quality care , I was examined and everything was explained and explored and I was more than reassured about my condition . 

Thank you to Lucy , Dawn and Shauna for treating me with respect and kindness,  you not just a credit to Urgent care centre forth valley but a credit to the NHS .
