At the time our baby girl was only 4 months old when she was admitted to hospital. She hadnt been well & I had seen 2 of our own GPs, been at OOH in CAH (the care we had was awful!) I finally trusted my own gut and brought her to DHH A&E.
The care she was shown in DHH straight from triage-a&e peads-then onto the peads ward was absolutely amazing. She was brought straight through & had been monitored constantly from she was in. I cannot fault any staff at all. After being closely monitored in A&E for 6hours we were admitted onto the paediatric ward. We had a side room with a bathroom which was fantastic as i didn't have to leave her to use the toilet. My daughter had to stay for 5 days. She had RSV & was on a feeding tube, oxygen, was constantly monitored & given pain relief regularly. The girls never stopped, the ward was so so busy but it didn't affect their excellent care! They always gave reassurance and explained anything that needed to be done. A big plus was that I was able to be fed on the ward as she was exclusively breastfed. Honestly, the food was fab. The service was excellent and all the girls were so helpful.
There was nothing I could complain about at all. Thank you so so much for taking such amazing care of my daughter. She is now almost 6months and hasn't looked back 😊
