"I cannot fault the care my son received"

About: Adult Health & Support Services / Primary Care Out of Hours University Hospital Wishaw / Paediatrics wards (19 & 20)

(as a parent/guardian),

My son was taken to ward 19 following an assessment at Out of Hours on Sunday evening. The doctors and nurses quickly assessed my son and kept me updated with their treatment plan whilst ensuring that me and my son were both comfortable and reassured.

He was then admitted into Ward 20. During our 3 day stay on the ward, every single member of staff (from domestics, hcsw's, nurses to the doctors on the ward round) that we encountered was friendly, caring, empathetic and always had time for a wee chat. This made a huge difference to our first experience of being on a hospital ward.

The nurses and doctors on the night shift were incredible and always checked in on my son regularly, as this is when he was most unwell. I cannot thank all the staff enough! At what was a very frightening and stressful time, we were comforted and reassured by friendly, caring staff.

Nothing was ever too much and I always felt listened to. And I cannot fault the care my son received. Thank you, to each and everyone we encountered during our stay.
