"Just like to say thank you"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Medical Imaging Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Outpatients Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Trauma and orthopaedics Topsham Surgery

(as a service user),

I recently attended Topsham surgery following weeks of persistent coughing and a swollen leg.

The paramedics nurse I was right onto the key issues and came up with a possible diagnosis. With support of the GP drugs were prescribed and a hospital appointment booked for tests the next day.

At 5pm the GP called me to say the blood tests indicated DVTs. Advise that any change in my symptoms to call an ambulance.

I attended Area D for tests for blood clots in my leg.

From the moment I was greeted and directed to Area D by the volunteers, entering the Area D. The welcome was warm and friendly.

I was seen by a several very professional and supportive technical nurses who scanned, tested and x rayed me. The results were all feed to duty doctor and I walked out knowing exactly what my issues were and everything.

Please pass my thanks and gratitude to everyone on this ward including the porters who took me to X-ray.

Everyone was so professional, relaxed (so it appeared) and spent the time need to reach a diagnosis, I made being Ill better.

Thanks again.
