"Time in Neonatal Unit"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Neonatal Unit

(as a service user),

We had a wee baby in the neonatal unit in Craigavon, the care was amazing, in particular we would like to mention how amazing some of the nurses were they made us feel like extended family. We are so thankful for the care and consideration they had to enable us to take our baby home. The kindness and compassion was truly appreciated.

Unfortunately I do want to mention that one staff member where it wasn't such a good experience. They were rude abrupt and didn’t involve us in the care of our baby at all. I hope nobody else has to experience her caring for their baby.

Good afternoon Ciayd95

Thank you for taking the time out to reflect on your neonatal experience and to express your appreciation for the kindness and compassion staff showed during your stay.

I do however note that you did have a concern in relation to your overall experience. I would encourage you to contact me as the ward manager in Neonatal via the contact number you used during your stay here. I acknowledge the impact this experience has had on you and I would value a further conversation to address any further action that needs put in place to ensure parents always feel involved and valued.

Regards

Una Toland
