About: Grantham & District Hospital / General surgery

I had a very good experience at Grantham. I was welcomed on to the ward and met my nurse, Suny, who was so friendly and just a wonderful person.

Taken to theatre quite quickly, escorted by a lovely lady whose name I can’t remember. Prepped for theatre quickly and then woke up in recovery with lots of friendly people making sure I was ok.

Lunch was ok though I wasn’t too hungry. My pain was well controlled. I would have liked some more information about aftercare for my wound but luckily the hospital called the next evening. I’m pleased they did, otherwise I would have been trying to change my dressings myself.

I would recommend Grantham for day case surgery to my friend and family
