"Kind, considerate, helpful and caring"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics University Hospital Ayr / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

I attended Ayr Day Surgery unit earl Jan under care of Mr Flaherty. The staff were all incredible. Kind considerate helpful and caring. They made sure I was comfortable and relaxed.

The anaesthetist Dr Meridith was incredible, just so lovely made sure I was pain free. Mr Flaherty is kind and very skilled. The anaesthetic assist Lizzie was just so nice and funny just loved her quirky way to keep me calm in theatre. Discharge was easy. They helped me get dressed too thankfully as my arm was immobile.

Please pass on my huge appreciation. Pre op needs a wee shout out too. Crosshouse pre op just brilliant department with amazing staff. Always professional and kind

Dear Patient nurse

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience of the care provided by the staff in the Day Surgery Unit within University Hospital Ayr and the Pre-Op Team at University Hospital Crosshouse.

I am sorry to hear that you required an admission to our Day Surgery Unit, but glad to know that you found all of our staff to be kind, considerate, helpful and caring whilst you were under their care. It’s often the attention to the small details that can make such a big difference in reassuring patients, resulting in a positive experience for them.

Our staff really appreciate receiving feedback from their patients and it will be my pleasure to share your kind comments with the wider Teams in both Departments and in particular with Mr Flaherty and his Team, anaesthetist Dr Meredith and also with Lizzie.

I do hope you are recovering well and thank you once again for taking the time to acknowledge your care experience.

Kind Regards

Pamela
