"Very lucky to have this service"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Breast surgery Pilgrim Hospital / Oncology

(as the patient),

Sixteen months ago, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.  My treatment is still ongoing but I have to say my treatment, care and support has been excellent.  A special thank you to my consultant Mr G, my Oncologist Dr Chaudhuri and the breast care nurses at Lincoln County who have been exceptional with their services and care.

My chemo was given at Pilgrim hospital chemo ward and the staff have been friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble and were always up for a laugh and joke.

The NHS has much negative press but I have experienced it at its best, with very professional and caring staff.  We are very lucky to have this service.
