"Great staff just not enough beds"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

Slipped on ice. Ambulance arrived in five minutes. In A&E within 20 minutes. Ambulance crew brilliant. A&E professionals brilliant.

Then nearly 2 full days in chairs. Not good. Quite depressing but fortunately I did not need much attention.

All healthcare professionals were brilliant, despite working endlessly. It was just too busy and damaged folk were not getting processed quickly. Not enough beds.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It’s great to hear that the ambulance crew and A&E staff provided such brilliant care, especially so quickly. However, We're sorry that you had to spend so long in chairs—that must have been incredibly difficult and frustrating. The pressures on healthcare staff are immense, yet their dedication shines through, as you’ve noted. We hope you’re recovering well, and we truly appreciate you acknowledging the hard work of the professionals despite the challenging circumstances.
