I attended SWAOC for a Full Rt knee replacement.
My Surgery and Operation was carried out early afternoon and I was eventually discharged from the Ward in the evening, after receiving post operative care, an xray and physiotherapy.
I felt relaxed and relatively calm throughout my treatment and care. I did get very anxious and slightly lightheaded/faint after hearing from the anaesthetist about the spinal anaesthetic treatment prior to the operation though.
I was very well looked after by an excellent and professional team all throughout my treatment, surgery and care. Everything was very well explained; including my medication to take and the physiotherapy requirements, especially my first time use of crutches.
Overall a very positive experience and I came away happy and reassured for my next and other Knee replacement.
