(as a service user),

I would like to pass on our sincere gratitude for the amazing care and attention my grandson received from Natalie, ENP at the RHSC recently. My grandson attended after a finger tip injury. Natalie, was so attentive to my grandson, her care and communication was excellent at every step. Natalie explained everything to us all but was amazing at including our grandson too.

He ended up with emergency surgery on Saturday night, and again the theatre staff were fantastic with him too. Thank you Natalie for the amazing care, not only to my grandson but to my son, as you recognised that it was a bit overwhelming to him too. You are a credit to your team. 

I would like to pass on my thanks to Emma, Staff Nurse from ward 3B, she received us at the ward and was very caring with a lovely calming manner. Thank you it was greatly appreciated after a very stressful day.

Dear teeny05,

I was so sorry to hear of your grandson's injury. That must have been a very worrying time for both him and for you as his loving family.

Thank you so much for such thoughtful and considerate feedback regarding Natalie and the care she provided to your grandson. I was particularly struck by the positivity around the communications she shared with you, and how she recognised your grandson required a little bit more support and adapted her approach to that.

I note with gratitude your recognition of our emergency theatre team and am so glad they provided him with the support he required.

Thank you for including Emma in your praise, that you were received into a peaceful environment and comfortably settled after such a harrowing event was lovely to hear.

I must thank you so very much for sharing such positivity. Our Senior Management team have taken this opportunity to also thank those colleagues and team you have mentioned, alongside ensuring they are aware of your kind words. We learn from the experience of our children and their families, and we can reflect with joy on all you have said.

I hope your grandson is recovering well at home and is feeling much better.
