I was a very lucky person who was allocated Ambreen (Bree) as my CBT therapist a couple of months ago.
I was very sceptical as this was my third bout of therapy in 20 years, the first two not helping in any way, possibly compounding my theory that my depression was who I was and I would just have to deal with it.
Bree is a very special person/therapist. She doesn’t read from sheets and look to achieve goals set for each session, she has an insight and ability to flex with what is thrown at her at a moments notice.
She is wonderfully direct, something that works for me, although I didn’t know before. She uses your own language to engage and challenge your thoughts in a firm but very caring way. I am sure she has other styles for those who don’t like direct but boy did it work with me.
For the first time, I have a handful of tools that I can relate to, use and resonate with my internal thoughts. It’s like having a key to switch off my internal agenda.
I can’t praise Bree enough, it would be great if she could hold internal forums to share her style to others, I am sure I am not alone with my mindset and responding to a flexible, insightful therapist.
My course has now ended, I am both grateful and a little sad that I won’t be able to receive such valuable help.
Thank you Bree.
"A wonderful therapist"
