"Fantastic care"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Ear, Nose and Throat

(as a relative),

Our family wanted to give our extreme thanks to Dr McLaren, Karen and the fantastic staff involved in my grandmas care.

Just having been diagnosed with terminal cancer she was losing her voice and unable to communicate freely with family - Dr McLaren very promptly arranged an appointment to help with this, and even when the small clinic room was filled with staff carrying out the procedure made room for me to be present to support her.

The team were amazing with my gran, and when I fainted were so kind and helpful.

And incredibly have managed to give my gran her voice back for now - we are so grateful, now we can truly make the most of the time we have left with her, and she can say her goodbyes to loved ones.

Thank you all so much, this means the world to us, and its so wonderful to hear her singing again!!

Dear Plutosz43

Thankyou for taking the time in writing feedback relating to your Grandma's recent experience within the ENT outpatient department.

The team and I are pleased to hear how your grandma's quality of life has improved meaning she is able to talk again. This is very fulfilling to us, therefore your feedback has given us an insight on the positive affects our service brings to our patients and to their loved ones.

I am also pleased to hear that you also felt cared for within the department and that you were able to support your Grandma. Given the size of the room, we usually tend not to ask relatives to be present, however I am currently working on ways on how to improve this.

I hope your Grandma continues on to sing and we wish you all the very best.

Regards,

Jo Morgan

Clinical Nurse Manager - ENT Outpatients Department. RDUH.
