"Excellent care"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

I would like to thank the paramedics who attended to my dad when he became unwell and unresponsive for a short time. The crew were so friendly, efficient and reassuring.

He was conveyed to UHH where he was assessed very quickly by Dr Alex within A&E. We would like to thank him for his professionalism and care. Thankfully he is home and well.

It is unfortunate that it appears that often it's the negative experiences that are reported, and thought it important that praise is also reported.

Dear octoberhh35,

Many thanks for taking the time to share your feedback here on Care Opinion. I note that your feedback relates to a couple of different NHS services. I am writing on behalf of the Scottish Ambulance Service. I am so sorry to read about your father's recent ill health. This must have been a very scary and stressful experience and I do hope that you he is feeling better now and is making a swift recovery. I am pleased to hear that the crew were so friendly, efficient and reassuring.

If you wish I can pass on the feedback to the crews directly. To do so we would need to know the date, time and address that the Ambulance attended and your father's name. This information can be sent to sas.feedback@nhs.scot for the team to pick up. If you do decide to do this, would you be so kind as to make reference to your CareOpinion username so that the team can easily locate your story and share it with the crew.

I wish you all the very best and thanks again.

Kind Regards

Marie,

Patient Experience Manager
