"Praise for the high quality of patient care from Ambulance staff"

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / NHS 111

(as a relative),

My 97 year old father with the recent cold virus was having breathing difficulties. 111 advised and arranged an ambulance call out as his GP service was too busy to respond. The ambulance arrived within 40 minutes.

The two members of the ambulance service were thorough in their care and treatment of him. After assessment and liaison with his GP surgery they took him to Bournemouth Hospital.

In transit discussions with the hospital he was taken to the Old Peoples Services, where he was treated quickly and effectively by the clinic before being placed in the care of the Hospital Home Team. I cannot praise highly the care and support he has received and in particular the professional reassurance he received from the crew.

Thank you

Good morning,

Thank you so much for providing us with feedback on the service you received, it is much appreciated! We are glad that your dad received excellent treatment from us, although sorry that you had to use our services.

For confidentiality, your patient information is redacted on this platform and so we cannot find the details of your incident, we would love to pass your message onto the Ambulance crew who attended you and so, if you would be willing to share some additional information, please could you email compliments@swast.nhs.uk with your name, date the ambulance arrived, address and thank you message and we will ensure this is passed onto to the relevant crew.

Thank you again for taking the time to feedback, I hope you are recovering well!

Kindest regards,

Katie
