My 97 year old father with the recent cold virus was having breathing difficulties. 111 advised and arranged an ambulance call out as his GP service was too busy to respond. The ambulance arrived within 40 minutes.
The two members of the ambulance service were thorough in their care and treatment of him. After assessment and liaison with his GP surgery they took him to Bournemouth Hospital.
In transit discussions with the hospital he was taken to the Old Peoples Services, where he was treated quickly and effectively by the clinic before being placed in the care of the Hospital Home Team. I cannot praise highly the care and support he has received and in particular the professional reassurance he received from the crew.
Thank you
"Praise for the high quality of patient care from Ambulance staff"
