"Came out of the room smiling and laughing"

About: New Stobhill Hospital / Breast Clinic West Scotland Breast Screening Centre / Diagnostics

(as a relative),

My Mum had a mammogram at Stobhill hospital recently. It is usually very painful and difficult for her as she has mobility problems. She came out of  the room smiling and laughing with the ladies which is very unusual.

We cannot thank Michelle and Tabi enough ( sorry if that is the incorrect spelling).

They were wonderful with her and even dressed her including zipping up her jacket (which we have difficulty doing).

They held her up at the machine, until she was ready, previously there has only been one member of staff, so it is difficult for them to help her. She feels like she is going to fall, which isn't good for a woman in her 80s.  We wish that we could request those ladies every time.

Again, we thank you very much. You are a real credit to the NHS.

Dear Worried|Daughter

Thank you so much for taking the time to share this heart warming feedback about your mum's recent experience at the New Stobhill Hospital. It is truly wonderful to hear that Michelle and Tabi were able to make such a difference during what can understandably be a challenging procedure for her.

We are delighted to know that their care, compassion, and attentiveness not only ensured your mum’s comfort but also brought smiles and laughter to her day. It is always our goal to provide the best possible experience for our patients, and it’s clear that Michelle and Tabi went above and beyond to support your mum with kindness and dignity. Your recognition of their teamwork, sensitivity, and dedication means a great deal to us.

We will make sure that your kind words are passed on to Michelle and Tabi, as well as to their manager. Feedback like yours reminds us why we do what we do and inspires us to continue delivering high quality, compassionate care.

Thank you again for sharing your story and for your appreciation of the NHS.

Kind regards

Kevin
