I was horrified at the way I was spoken to by the inexperienced GP with an ‘interest in skin’. I was made to feel like a time waster and a hypochondriac and I had to fight tooth and nail for a referral to dermatology. The patronising manner and god like ego of this person was extremely off putting and I was interrupted several times and they downplayed my concerns. This left me feeling unheard and undervalued as a patient which made it difficult to trust the advice given.
The clinic was well-organized, and the staff were friendly, but my experience with the GP was disappointing.
I would recommend this GP take more time to actively listen to patients and address their concerns respectfully. Unfortunately, based on this experience I would not feel comfortable returning.
"Frustrating and very upsetting "
