I had the HPV vaccine. It was ok, me and my other friends at school were all really scared but it was not as bad as I thought.

The lady I had do mine was super friendly and kind. It did sting a bit but not as bad as I thought. My arm is swollen now and hurts to move and I have had headache and feel sick for a few hours now.

Many thanks for taking the time to feedback your experience on your HPV vaccination.

It is good to hear that you thought the nurse was friendly and kind, as well as the vaccination not being as bad as you initially thought.

Unfortunately vaccinations can give people different side affects, the most common are the swelling around the injection site and that it feels a bit heavy.

Drinking lots of fluid helps along with trying to move the arm as much as you can (not always easy when it hurts!). Unfortunately the HPV can sting for a little bit of time after given but soon goes away. Hopefully you are fully recovered now.
