My husband is severely disabled by Parkinson’s with Lewy Body disease. We need to watch out for infections.
He had come to the Riverside Practice for a routine injection (more great practice there too). I asked at reception if someone could also check him quickly because I was worried about a cough he was developing. Before he was ill, we would have waited to see if it developed further. Now it is important to keep on top of infections.
The receptionist was as helpful as it is possible to be: he went and knocked on the door of a doctor whose next patient had not yet arrived. That doctor double checked his next patient was not there (he expressed particular concern because the patient was a child).
When he realised the next patient was still not there he took my husband to his room, checked thoroughly his chest, oxygen and heart and was able to reassure us.
I really don’t think the Clinic staff could have done more for us.
"Excellent support"
