What a great practice!

I would like to express my gratitude for everything you all do for my nan. Over the last 8 years the continuity of care has been to such a high standard. As her health has deteriorated and the complexity of her health has increased she has received nothing but excellent care. She is regularly able to see the same GP, who knows her well and is then able to use this to provide caring and compassionate medical care. Even on the rare occasion we do have to speak to another doctor they are very patient and allow you the opportunity to really speak and be heard. This is such an important factor in making patients feel at ease and allowing them to have autonomy over their care. My nan feels as though she is given the consideration to make decisions regarding her health. As a carer and family member staff make me feel respected and that my opinion is validated. It can be exceptionally frustrating as a carer when you are not listened to and I have never once been made to feel this way. Clinicians are very knowledgeable in each of the varying areas they specialise in, but are also transparent enough to tell you that they are unsure on something and will ask for a second opinion. I have always felt trust in clinical decisions being made about my nans health and these have always been explained to both my self and nan in an appropriate way we can understand.

I really admire the way they care for complex patients with man differing co morbidities, this is not an easy task! I have myself worked in healthcare and have had interactions with many doctors surgeries and I can say with certainty that this is the best surgery I have dealt with. No practice is without faults but within the constraints of clinical guideline i think they do a fantastic job.

I would also like to give a shout out to the support staff of nurses and physicians associates, HCA’s who have always given nan respect, patience and kindness. To the reception staff I really want to say a huge thank you!! Without you going above and beyond for nan it would have been a nightmare. Being the frontline staff you must have to deal with some difficulties but you always answer the telephone in such a positive manner and really do show patients compassion and empathy. My nan really appreciates this and it really makes her feel as though she still matters. I have called up multiple times in a day and each time I was never made to feel a nuisance or that it was too much trouble. The logistics of managing so many unwell patients must be very stressful. But when nan has been unwell you have always managed to either get the support she needed or signpost me to another service.

If all surgeries were like this my professional life would be a lot less stressful. Please do continue to provide excellent care as you have been, the patients who really do need to care greatly appreciate it!
