"I was made to feel relaxed and well looked after"

I recently underwent surgery and from the moment I arrived in the day surgery unit I was made to feel relaxed and well looked after.  A number of staff did numerous checks and explained the whole process to me clearly.  The doctor and anaesthetist also came to speak to me before the surgery and answered any questions I had.  Going into surgery was a little daunting but the fact all in the room had already came and introduced themselves to me meant I wasn't faced with a room of strangers.  After surgery the nursing staff were fantastic, very attentive and calming as I came round from the anaesthetic.  Thank you so much to all the staff who looked after me.
