I was in trouble having fallen in the kitchen, impaling my arm on a cupboard handle and was unable to get up...Bleeding heavily.
I pressed my red button and responders came to my rescue.
They sent for an ambulance which came within the hour.
Once at Crosshouse hospital s AnE department I was triaged and passed on quite quickly to Nurse Practitioner. She was very kind and caring, but not able to sort the problem. She took me to xray but in the end I apparently needed an Orthopedic surgeon to stitch the open wound which was down to the bone. He did a wonderful job of sewing up the wound which has now healed beautifully.
I want to thank all involved for my care but not sure of names. The surgeon I think was Mr Khan, but sadly the nurses name alludes me a and she could not have done more for me.. from arrival to bringing me to the door on my way home.
To Everyone along the way. And all on that shift in December. Thank you so VERY MUCH..
