I had a meeting with two people. I explained my difficulties with society and relationships. I informed them I had high functioning autism and interactions were difficult.
But when I told them about some of my world views and what is going on, one of the people I met took exception and labelled me as a conspiracy theorist. I think their views about me overrode the care I am in desperate need of. Instead, they treated me like a parcel and not a human being and said I would be given help from other organizations about my autism.
When I said what about my mental health about current world affairs, they said they could not help. I felt like I didn’t fit in their box, so I didn’t count.
If the NHS truly believes in zero tolerance, then why did a vulnerable person like myself have to suffer this? They were well aware of my heart problems, and yet I felt attacked. I feel they have failed in their duty of care.
I had informed them I had tried to resource autistic places close to me and had no success, but they didn't listen. I also informed them that I had used NAS (national autistic society) but it failed. If they had looked through my Cornhill medical notes then they would of found out that my funding to NAS was stopped, was then referred to relationship therapy by this team, even though the week before I was sexually assaulted. Utterly unforgivable and deplorable.
But the two people interviewing me did not seem to care enough to look through my medical notes, which meant I had to divulge previous traumas that made me feel even more exposed.
