"I cannot rate them highly enough"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Emergency Medicine Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a service user),

Just before Christmas I unfortunately had an epileptic seizure. The paramedics that attended, called Drew and George, were absolutely amazing. They made me feel at ease and reassured. They also reassured my poor mum who was with me at the time!!

Throughout the journey to ARI, they undertook ongoing assessments on me and continued to ensure that I was comfortable and reduced any anxiety.

Working in the NHS, I appreciate how busy and stressful the job can be so I cannot rate them highly enough!!

Once we arrived at ARI a nurse came out to the ambulance, I think her name was Ana. She explained that there may be a slight wait in the ambulance before I was taken in. Luckily this wasn't the case and I was seen very swiftly in A&E. Again, the staff were fantastic, communicating clearly about what the ongoing plan was.

I hope this feedback can be shared with the staff involved and their teams.

Dear tangojd33,

Many thanks for taking the time to share your feedback here on CareOpinion. I am so sorry to read about your recent ill health and I do hope that you are feeling better. It is great to hear positive stories about the work our wonderful staff and partners provide.

I would be keen to share this feedback to the Ambulance crews directly if you still wish to do so. To do so we would need to know the date, time and address that the Ambulance attended and your name. This information can be sent to sas.feedback@nhs.scot for the team to pick up. If you do decide to do this, would you be so kind as to make reference to your CareOpinion username so that the team can easily locate your story and share it with the crew.

I wish you all the very best and thanks again for sharing your experience.

Kind Regards

Marie,

Patient Experience Manager
