About: Fife Community Services / Rapid Cancer Diagnostic Service (RCDS)

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I was very pleasantly surprised by the care and speed of service I received from the RCDS team at Victoria Hospital.  The service was wonderful. The staff were so nice and explained what would be happening with regards to a CT scan and this took away any anxiety I had. At the outset I was a bit concerned when the word cancer was mentioned but the staff reassured me that the service was fast and the results would be fed back to me very quickly. In my case the results were all clear.  The RCDS is a fast service which should be rolled out across the NHS.

Receiving an all-clear result must have been such a relief, and I’m delighted that the process provided you with the reassurance and swift answers you needed.
