Our indoor cat slipped past me about teatime into the snow on the coldest night of the year. Weighing up the options, I chose to grab him when I had the chance. It wasn't his idea of a good time and slashed out quickly and efficiently, leaving my hands rather chewed up. Safe to say, he came in of his own free will about 60 seconds later.
We treated the gashes and gouges at home, but about 24 hrs later, my hands became hot and swollen. A trip to Minor Injuries was arranged the following morning.
I arrived early but was seen almost immediately. I was treated by Wayne and Tracey. Their care was second to none; nothing was too much trouble. I was in the hands of professionals. My hands were bandaged and antibiotics administered. They even had time to let me see my hand x-rays, so I could investigate my arthritic joints. I advised that, if things didn't settle, I should come straight back, which was reassuring. A truely marvelous service, especially given the often negative profile that I feel I see the media shares.
