"My Fractured ankle op"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Accident & Emergency

(as a service user),

Having made the mistake of pretending to be a "fun mum" at Murrayfield Ice Rink, I found myself at the WGH minor injuries and then RIE ED.

The RIE ED department were wonderful despite being over subscribed and unaware of my arrival, Dr. Emma, Dr. Lottie, Sarah and the lovely HCSWs (one whom spotted I needed a cushion to support my swollen leg and the other who taught me how to use my crutches) were all phenomenal.

The orthopaedic STs were also incredible. Jon(athan) who talked me through the next steps and gave me all the stats I needed for the treatment offered and Rob who put me at ease, talked me through everything all over again, put my foot in perfect alignment and then phoned me the next day to assure me that his consultant agreed with the (innately) sensible plan to put me on a list for screws and pins and all the fun things that my moment of stupidity requires.

Thanks team!

Many thanks for taking the time to give the department such lovely feedback - I will make sure this is shared with the team, who will appreciate it! I hope you are recovering well.

Kind regards

Ray
