"A&E treatment for cut thumb knuckle."

About: Lochaber (Belford) Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as the patient),

Cut my thumb knuckle with a rusty old handsaw.   It wouldn't stop bleeding so I went to A&E at the Belford Hospital, Fort William. I was seen promptly by a nurse and received a tetanus jag, wound treatment, and expert advice. Thank you very much.

Dear Phil55

Thank you very much for your lovely post following your emergency care from staff at Belford Hospital.

I am delighted to hear you have received such good care from Nursing staff.

It is always a pleasure to receive such kind comments and to know that the staff at NHS Highland are appreciated both for their hard work and for their attitude towards patients.

I have forwarded your feedback to the Belford Hospital and asked that managers share this with the staff involved in your care.

We aim to provide a high standard of care and treatment to the community we serve, and I trust that should you have need of our services in the future your experience will be just as positive.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback your experience.

I hope that your injury is healing well.

With kind regards

Sylvia
