I had a lumpectomy followed by 5 sessions of radiotherapy. Throughout my cancer journey I have nothing but the highest praise for the NHS teams I dealt with - the support, reassurance and level of care has been fabulous, both to myself and my family. Having all treatment completed within 6 months of my initial mammogram was also a great bonus and saved a lot of worry and anxiety from building more than necessary.

Dear taurusnc44, thank you very much for sharing your breast cancer journey, from your mammogram, through surgery and to your radiotherapy treatment. My name is Bob, one of the Support workers who would have welcomed you to our Radiotherapy Department.
It is very pleasing to hear that you received timely treatment, along with appropriate support which, as you say, alleviated some anxiety for both and your family.
