"Amazing critical care staff"

About: Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital / Critical Care

(as a service user),

I was admitted to NSECH with breathing issues. From A&E to discharge I couldn't fault it. I was quickly assessed and moved to the appropriate ward. I unfortunately had to be ventilated but the staff were amazing and helped my family throughout my illness. When I was brought round I wasn't left alone and was always reassured and supported. I was moved to ward 12 for my final 2 days in a private room with my own facilities. I feel I was given privacy and was checked upon when obs and medication was given. When I was discharged I was given all the appropriate information regarding ongoing medication. I can't thank the consultant, nurses and health care assistants enough because without them it could have been a different outcome.

Dear Reviewer,

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to leave a review and share your experience of NSECH with us.

It has been a pleasure to hear that your time at NSECH, right from arriving in A&E, through to discharge on Ward 12 was positive. You were assessed quickly and moved to the appropriate ward, the staff were amazing, supporting you and your family, you were given privacy as well as being check upon and that you were given all the appropriate information regarding ongoing medication during discharge.

We will pass on your wonderful comments to the teams that you have mentioned.

We wish you all the best.

Kindest Regards,

The Experience Team
