"Extremely slow and lazy staff"

Why take on more patients if they can’t manage the current amount they have. Don’t expect to ever be given face 2 face unless you’re dying, even so they tell you go a&e if its that bad. Have to keep sending requests for sick notes to be updated because they ignore them. How long could it possibly take to just put the dates on a form and sign it for a patient?! Staff here do not want to listen to you speak they say whatever they can to just get you off the phone. I went in one time and they were just sat there having a laugh on their phones while someone was on hold.

Dear Patient

Thank you for taking time to provide feedback. We are sorry to read your comments about our practice but disagree with your heading and description of our staff. Our staff, especially the front desk staff are extremely hardworking and dedicated. They work under constant pressure dealing with various stressful situations and are quite often on the receiving end of everyone’s frustrations.

There are rules governing the issuing of ‘sick certificates’ or fit notes and sometimes the GP may not be able to supply one or extend an existing one because they need further information and assessment. This is especially the case for new patients to the practice.

We are always looking to improve our service and engage with our patients. We recognise that there maybe times when things have not gone right, and we need to know.
