There was team of four female clinicians including the actual dentist, which seemed to create a very different atmosphere than the previous time I had been there with a male dentist. It was very friendly, positive, and chatty (which when one is required to have one's mouth wide open is a little difficult!)
I had enormous trouble trying to transfer from my wheelchair, but the dentist suggested not transferring, and they all worked out the best way of doing it without making me feel guilty of putting them to any extra trouble (even though it did).
My choice of musical artist had been retained from my previous visit, and had already been set up. Conversation was almost entirely on that subject, initiated by the dentist.
The whole experience was almost entirely pain-free, although the anaesthetic has not completely worn off yet, and I was left with the feeling that I would like to have got to know all four ladies better.
"Created a positive atmosphere"
